“This company goes above and beyond what is expected. My dad is 100 years old and still in his home. They have never once missed a shift and we are updated daily on what happened during a shift. Having the daily log updates that you can check via computer or phone has been extremely comforting. We know what was done, how his mood was, what my dad talked about etc. If something out of the ordinary occurs we get a phone call and the situation can be handled immediately. We feel so unbelievably fortunate to have found this company at this time in my dad’s life.”
“Our Family Friend has been a terrific support for us more than once. In 2020, during the first wave of the pandemic and lock downs, my then 92 year old father fell and, for a few weeks, needed some additional help around his apartment. Our Family Friend was unfailingly helpful, professional and dependable, attending to my father and addressing all his needs without ever being overbearing or making him feel uncomfortable or self-conscious. They followed his lead in terms of social visits versus times he wanted to just read or work on his computer and their services were exemplary.
Two and a half years later, when my then 94-95 year old father had diminished, we again called on OFF (who my Dad had nicknamed “The Guardians”) to provide overnight support. Once again they were the picture of helpfulness, professionalism and kindness. Once again they dependably addressed his physical needs, assisting as appropriate and always making him feel well cared for and attended to. Having The Guardians there helped my Dad feel peaceful and comfortable. For our part, Our Family Friend’s regular communications, daily logging and prompt responses to any of our inquiries did wonders to help our family know that Dad was in good hands.

“I live 5 hours away from my Dad and can only see him every six weeks. My dad has a phone but he very seldom answers the calls. But I am able to check on him two times a day because of the incredible line of communication we have with the Our Family Friend patient portal. There is not a day that goes by that I am not looking at the support team’s notes on the website. My sister LaVerne and I call it a “life changer” in the care of our dad . Not only is the staff incredibly caring towards our dad but the updates are so important. I have the website on my phone at all times and I am checking on his progress. LaVerne and I do screenshots of the notes and text them to each other. It really has been a wonderful tool for us and we truly appreciate the site. Thank you.”
“I’d like to start by saying that I’ve been totally satisfied by the service and support that Our Family Friend provided my wife from beginning to end. She received compassionate care and she truly enjoyed the interaction with all the caregivers. In addition, they went out of their way to keep my wife as active as possible and helped her with daily activities, meals, and personal hygiene. Also important was that they were always on time for their assignments and were prompt on reporting their observations on the online portal. They communicated ahead of time if there were any changes in the schedule. The supervisor was excellent in directly communicating with me when I had questions or concerns! Finally, I’d like to thank all the “Friends” that helped Dorothy through this difficult period of her Alzheimer’s disease! I know she’ll miss the companionship and care you provided her over the last few months.”

“This company has truly become our family friend! Our Family Friend was there when our mom and our family needed you. They were compassionate, responsive, giving, and patient. Over the last six months of mom’s life she transitioned from needing a casual companion to accompany her to the store or to a doctor’s appointment to needing someone to hold her hand and console her during her final weeks of life. Our family will be forever grateful for all they have done to make these last months, weeks, and days the very best for her.

“As a friend, I had been acting as a “case manager” for an elderly couple with no family in the area. When their health and mobility issues mounted, one of them required 24/7 monitoring after sustaining several falls. For various reasons, we had to replace the initial 24-hour home monitoring agency. We contracted Our Family Friend.
